Katinka's Shrew is a small shrew recorded in Syria. It was identified from owl pellets, and its shorter snout is noted in comparison with a close relative.
It is described as about the size of the related Crocidura suaveolens, but with a shorter snout. Its skull also has a short rostrum and rounded braincase.
Remains were identified in owl pellets from two Syrian sites, including pellets of barn owls and little owls. These are records of animals regurgitated after predation.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
