The long buccal tentacles include thin cylindrical ones and thick, deeply grooved ones; both types have red spots just before the tip in life. It occurs at depths of 1–15 m in muddy sediments or inside rock cracks. It is recorded from off Shirawara Coast and Cape Haneo in Tottori, and Notojima in Ishikawa, Japan.
