Known from southwestern Cameroon, females of this spider have a distinct projection on the anterior genital plate.
One described male has an ochre-yellow carapace with a brown rear mark and brown side margins.
In April 2009, it was found together with the similar Smeringopina kribi at a site between Kribi and Campo. Both seemed to occupy sheltered spaces close to the ground.
Its legs are ochre-yellow, with whitish femoral and tibial tips and slightly darker rings near the ends and around the knees.
Its ochre-grey abdomen has a distinct black pattern on the back, sides and underside.
Females have shorter hairs above the mouth than males, and vary in how dark this area is.
The female anterior genital plate has a distinct central projection.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
