Known from Luki forest in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, females of this spider lack the male eye stalks.
In the described male, the upper plate of the front body is pale ochre-yellow, with a central light-brown to orange band extending over the eye region and face.
In 2006–2007 at Luki Forest Reserve, it was collected in primary rainforest, old secondary forest, planted and regenerated forest, and at the forest edge.
Its abdomen is pale gray, with darker spots in two dorsal patches and no ventral pattern.
Of 50 examined females, 37 had a brown plate beneath the front body and darker patterns on the upper front body and face. Twelve were more like males but had a more orange underside plate; one was intermediate.
In females, the eyes lack the male stalks, and the eye groups are closer together. Female legs have distinct brown rings just before the whitish ends of the femora and tibiae.
Some males lack dorsal abdominal spots, and the area below the eyes and above the mouth is sometimes not darkened.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
