A whale of the deep North Atlantic, recognized by its rounded forehead and projecting, bottle-shaped beak.
It has a robust, elongated body, a rounded bulbous forehead, and a projecting beak. Its dorsal fin sits far back; only adult males show teeth at the tip of the lower jaw.
It dives deep and mainly catches squid near the ocean floor, along with fish and shrimp.
