The Gongshan muntjac is a deer recorded in the mountains of southwestern China. In a southeastern Tibet survey, cameras recorded more use of broadleaf forest, and most independent detections showed a solitary animal.
The underside and upper surface of the tail are dark brown; the sides and limbs are blackish, while parts of the underside of the tail and body are white.
In the Gedang camera-trap survey, most independent detections showed a single animal.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
