This small bat is known only from Saint Vincent. It was captured mainly in forest and also in banana plantations. Sea caves on the island have been recorded as roosts, including one confirmed again during a later survey.
Adults have long dorsal fur with a white base and snuff-brown to dark-brown tips. The belly is dark, and the ears are large with rounded tips.
Most captures were in forest, with additional captures in banana plantations. Two sea caves at Mount Wynne beach on Saint Vincent were reported as roosts; one was confirmed in 2005.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
