The measured male specimen had a body length of 7.7 mm. The eyes and rostrum are absent. The main flagellum of the first antenna has 18 articles. At the artificial sandstone basin, the water contained algae and mud covered the bottom. Specimens were found in the mud and among the algae. It ranges from the United Kingdom through northern and central France, Belgium and Germany to the Czech Republic in the east.
