The unstriped tube-nosed fruit bat has long tubular nostrils and feeds on fruit. It is difficult to distinguish from P. tenax, so its range and behavior records remain uncertain.
Its nostrils are long, tubular, and divergent, and it lacks a stripe down the middle of the back. The wings are described as dark lime-green.
It is described as nocturnal and roosting in vegetation by day. Because it can be confused with P. tenax, some behavior records may belong to that species.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
