Kollmannsperger’s Mastomys is a rodent recorded in several habitats across the Sahel and Sudanian zone. Some aspects of its activity and diet remain poorly known.
The back is dark gray-brown, fading toward the flanks. The belly is beige-gray without a sharp boundary from the back, and the tops of the feet are pale.
Records come from gravel plains, millet fields, flooded Sudanian savanna, and around ranger facilities. It is nocturnal and terrestrial, but its diet and day shelters are not well documented.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
