This entry covers *Mionectes galbinus*, split from the broader *M. olivaceus*. The species account records it in moist lowland and montane forest from Central into northwestern South America.
The upperparts are olive green, with darker wings edged yellowish to ochre. A triangular white mark sits behind the eye; the head, throat and breast are streaked, and the belly is yellow.
It uses moist lowland and montane forest and eats fruit and invertebrates, taking them while hovering or, less often, while perched on vegetation.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
