In adult males, the tympanum is distinct, rounded and slightly concave. At Qingshan Village, it has been found along a clear-water rocky stream. The stream is surrounded by broad-leaved forest below 1700 m elevation and coniferous forest above 1700 m. It is known from the type locality at Qingshan Village in Zhaozishan Nature Reserve, Qixingguan District, Bijie City, Guizhou, China.
