A thin, translucent shell sits beneath a wide, elongated body whose side flaps cover the front of the shell.
The shell has visible spiral grooves crossed by growth lines. The shield-like area at the front of the head has a deep notch and small tentacles.
In this study it was found on dense bacterial mats in shallow water about one metre deep.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
