The Yellow-rumped Tinkerbird is a small barbet, marked by a yellow rump and white facial stripes.
The crown and back are black. White stripes run behind the eye and from the bill base, and the rump is yellow; the chest and belly are pale olive-yellow.
It uses lowland and montane forests, forest edges, and dense woodland. Fruit is its main food, especially mistletoe berries.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
