This small bird is recorded in the western Himalaya. Plumage alone does not distinguish the sexes, and uncertainty remains at the edges of its known range.
It is warm brown overall, with a short, rounded tail. Its long undertail-coverts have pale tips, and the sexes cannot be separated by plumage alone.
It occurs above the tree line in alpine areas with shrubs and herbaceous plants. Its diet is not well known.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
