The Cave Swiftlet is a small swiftlet found on islands including Java. Its green gloss and square-ended tail are useful field marks.
It is about 10 cm long, with a green gloss on the back. The tail is square-ended and lacks white spots at the tips.
It forages in groups in the crowns of fruiting trees, especially figs. It builds a shelf-like nest from plant material and usually lays two eggs.
The hind toe lacks a small feather tuft.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
