The Fly River Leptomys is a rodent confirmed from river basins in southern New Guinea. A large white facial blaze is a notable feature.
Its fur is short and dense, and the back is grayish brown. A large white blaze on the face helps distinguish it from other Leptomys.
Confirmed specimens came from well-drained riverbank forests. The paper describes it as terrestrial and probably nocturnal.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
