The Olive-headed Lorikeet has a green body and yellow-green head and feeds on nectar, pollen, and fruit. It lives in forests and open woodland in the Lesser Sunda Islands.
Adults are mainly green, with a yellow-green to olive head. Pale yellow streaks mark the crown, and a pale green band circles the neck. A yellow band shows under the wing; the eyes are red and the bill is orange to red.
Outside the breeding season, they are seen flying in flocks and can be noisy in flight. They eat nectar, pollen, fruit, seeds, insects, and larvae, but may be quiet while feeding or resting.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
