Loria’s Pogonomys is a tree-mouse recorded in the mountains of eastern New Guinea. One Mt. Dayman survey included 14 specimens; nest details that could not be separated from a close relative are kept out of this account.
One specimen in the Mt. Dayman survey table had a head-and-body length of 13.5 cm and a tail of 16.0 cm. Its tail was longer than its body; these are not species-wide averages.
One animal in the survey was caught in a trap tied to a liana on a tree trunk about 1 m above the ground. This single record does not show that the species is always in trees.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
