A small finch of the highlands of southwestern Saudi Arabia and Yemen. It may gather in flocks at higher elevations.
Saudipedia describes a small bird about 15 centimetres long. Its page does not give a detailed plumage description.
It uses juniper woodland and terraced land above 1,800 metres. Saudipedia describes daytime flocking and feeding on the ground or in trees.
