An arboreal squirrel of central Gabon's rainforest. It is often observed in the lower canopy, though records span ground level to high branches, and it has been seen eating fruit.
Its back is olive brown with four black longitudinal stripes. The flanks and underside are gray to grayish white, and the long tail is densely haired.
In central Gabonese forest it was often seen around 4–6 m in the lower canopy, but observations ranged from the ground to above 25 m. The account reports individuals eating fruits of Xylopia and Dialium.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
