This fantail lives on Sulawesi. An old specimen account describes one unsexed individual with a cinnamon-brown forehead, back, rump, and basal tail, and an olive-brown head and neck. It searches for invertebrates in forest and thickets.
In one unsexed specimen in the original description, the forehead, back, rump, and base of the tail were cinnamon-brown, while the head and neck were olive-brown.
It is a resident of humid tropical and montane forest and thickets, where it feeds on insects and other invertebrates among trees and bushes.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
