Pseudohydromys ellermani is a small rodent of mossy forests in New Guinea's Central Cordillera. It is terrestrial and is thought to feed mainly on insects.
Its back is smoky gray, with soft, dense fur, and its underside is paler. The long tail is mottled brown, and many specimens have a white tip.
It is terrestrial and has been collected beneath logs in mossy forest. Stomach contents and other evidence suggest an insect-based diet, but its daily behavior is little studied.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
