This fruit bat lives on Mindoro Island in the Philippines. In a 2006 survey, most captured individuals came from disturbed forest or scrub, and fecal material contained seeds including figs. Its roosting habits are unknown.
It is a small, pale-brown flying fox with medium-brown wing membranes dotted with pale spots. The ears are cream near the base and become brown-gray toward the edge.
During a 2006 survey on Mount Siburan, bats were captured at 8 of 16 netting sites. Most were in disturbed forest or scrub, not primary forest or open farmland. Fecal material contained seeds of Ficus, Melastomataceae, and wild banana.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
