This shrimp is known from Lake Poso on Sulawesi, Indonesia.
In the examined specimens, the rostrum is very long and slender, curving upwards.
It lives among accumulations of small to medium-sized stones near the shore of Lake Poso.
In the observed living specimens, reddish and white dots are arranged in rows on the body and legs.
In the observed living specimens, the outer branches of the tail fan have black and white blotches.
