The silver-haired bat is a North American bat with silver-white tips on black fur. It flies at night and may roost alone under loose bark or in tree cavities.
Silver or white tips give its black fur a silvery look. Its wing membranes are dark brown to black, and the ears are rounded at the tips.
It often roosts alone under loose bark or in dead-tree cavities, then forages from evening through the night. It eats insects; moths made up over 40% of the diet in one cited study.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
