The Marico Flycatcher is a small brown flycatcher with a pale eye-ring. It searches for insects in open acacia woodland and may drop from a perch to catch prey on the ground.
The head, neck, and upperparts are brown, with a pale buff eye-ring. The upperwing is a darker brown than the body.
It feeds mainly on insects, pouncing from a perch onto ground prey and also gleaning among foliage. In arid acacia woodland, it shifts seasonally between more open areas and taller, shadier cover.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
