Jackson's Shrew is recorded in several East African countries. In Kenya, records include moist forests, wet bushlands, and cultivated areas.
Most specimens examined in 1918 were brown. Some molting animals showed brown and dark slate-gray fur, and one specimen from Kaimosi, Kenya, was very dark with a silvery sheen.
In Kenya, it has been recorded in moist forests, wet bushlands, and cultivated areas. The sources used here do not describe its activity time or diet.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
