The Lesser Yellow-headed Vulture is a vulture of the Americas recorded in wetlands along Guatemala's Pacific coast. It feeds mainly on carrion, but may also take live fish, reptiles, and insects.
The body and wings are black to brown, with a reddish-orange nape and neck and a yellow facial mask. In flight, the undersides of the wings look grayer or paler than those of other vultures.
It feeds mainly on carrion and sometimes catches live fish, reptiles, or insects.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
