The Pale-eyed Bulbul (Pycnonotus davisoni) occurs around the Irrawaddy River delta in southern Myanmar. It was split from Stripe-throated Bulbul in 2023 and is marked by its pale eye.
It has a pale iris and yellow streaking on the head and throat. The yellow markings are described as duller and less distinct than in the related Stripe-throated Bulbul.
An 1889 field account reported the population then called Pycnonotus finlaysoni davisoni around forest edges, scrub, clearings, and gardens, feeding on berries and insects on the ground and in trees. That davisoni population is now P. davisoni.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
