Anchieta's Broad-faced Fruit Bat is known from several countries in southern Africa. In Malawi, two bats were caught flying over grassland near miombo woodland.
The account describes a long, narrow skull and muzzle. It suggests possible flower-visiting, but does not confirm that the bat feeds on flowers.
At about 1,760 m in Nyika National Park, Malawi, two bats were caught flying over open grassland between miombo woodland and a river.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
