This small white-eye lives on Lifou in New Caledonia. It has a white eye-ring, uses open places near settlements and cultivated land, and eats insects and fruit.
It is about 10 cm long, with gray and yellowish tones and a white ring around the eye. The account reports no marked difference between the sexes.
It is also found in open habitats near settlements and cultivated land, where it eats insects and fruit.
