This squirrel-shaped rodent glides from tree to tree. It is active around dusk and at night in forests of western and central Africa.
It has a silvery-gray back, a white belly, and a furry membrane extending between the limbs and toward the tail. Its large eyes and ears are also noticeable.
It rests in tree-hole nests by day, then spreads its membrane to glide between branches from dusk onward. Its recorded foods include bark, fruit, leaves, flowers, and green nuts.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
