The Sunda Forktail is a streamside bird with dark gray upperparts and white underparts. A short white forehead stripe and the sexes' different crown colors help identify it.
It is dark gray above and white below, with a dark throat, a short white stripe on the forehead, and a white rump. The male has a gray crown, while the female's crown is maroon.
It lives along forest streams on Java and Sumatra. When alarmed, it gives loud whistling calls and bobs its tail.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
