This broad-nosed bat has confirmed records from humid montane forests in Colombia. Re-examined specimens were identified by their banded hairs and a dense fringe along the tail membrane.
Colombian specimens have three-banded hairs on the back and underside, plus dense, long hairs along the edge of the tail membrane.
Confirmed Colombian records include low-montane forest, low-montane wet forest, and premontane very humid forest. The paper distinguishes these specimen records from its model of potential habitat.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
