The Marovaza house bat is a small species recorded at three sites in western Madagascar. The type specimen was found day-roosting beneath dry palm leaves.
The back is reddish brown, and some individuals have a paler stripe along it. The throat and underside are shiny light yellow-brown. Its muzzle is short and broad.
At Marovaza, the single type specimen day-roosted beneath dry leaves of a Bismarckia palm forming the eave of a building. The surroundings included degraded dry deciduous forest and anthropogenic savanna.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
