This spider is known from forests and caves at higher elevations in Kenya; the male palps beside the mouth have a long projection.
The described male has broad brown bands along the middle and sides of the upper front body, with a pair of broad brown bands below the eyes.
It has been found in Chogoria and Naro Moru forests, as well as riverine forest and a forest fragment beside a road.
In January 2010, five males and five females were collected deep in Kitum Cave. Other records came from beneath bridges near that cave and in Naro Moru on Mt. Kenya.
Its legs are ochre-brown, with darker rings near the ends of the thigh and shin segments.
Its abdomen has distinct patterns above and below, and the sternum underneath the front body is dark brown.
The same male has a pair of projections at the outer distal parts of the jaws near the mouth, each tipped with one small modified hair.
The male palps, the short leg-like appendages beside the mouth, have a long projection.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
