The Slaty Gnateater is a short-tailed bird of the eastern Andean slopes of Bolivia, living close to the forest floor.
It has a plump shape, a short tail, and a white stripe behind the eye.
It searches for small food items in low forest growth and near the ground.
Both the male and female incubate the eggs.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
