This bat was studied at Paracou in French Guiana. Fur color and texture varied among specimens, and captures came from streamside forest, clearings, and above roadside puddles.
Most Paracou specimens had long, silky, brownish dorsal fur; the ventral fur was slightly lighter and looked frosted in some specimens.
The Paracou survey captured this species in creekside primary forest, man-made clearings, and above roadside puddles.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
