Males have mostly white plumage and a blue-gray bill, while females are brown-gray. Details of its life in Panama are limited; altitudinal movements known from Costa Rica have not been confirmed there.
The male is mostly white, with a blue-gray bill and pale blue-gray on the upper body. The female is brown-gray above and has a white ring around the eye.
It is found in the canopy of lowland humid forest, forest edges, and clearings with scattered trees. Its natural history in Panama is poorly known; movements along elevation have been reported in Costa Rica, but are not known to occur in Panama.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
