The Crimson Sunbird is a small bird that takes nectar, spiders, and insects. Males are red, while females are olive-colored, so the sexes look different.
The male is bright red with a grey belly and a greenish-black tail. The female is dull olive-green, with paler yellow underparts.
It depends on flowers for nectar and also takes spiders and insects. It occurs at forest edges and clearings, in secondary woodland and plantations, and in parks and gardens.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
