The body is small, slender, and nearly cylindrical. The carapace reaches 4.7 mm in males and 4.6 mm in females. The short, straight projection at the front has 9–15 upper teeth and 0–2 lower teeth. A broad triangular part near the mouth ends in a finger-like tip. At collection site 8, the stream was 0.5–1 m wide and 0.3–0.5 m deep, with rocks, leaf litter, and aquatic plants on the bottom. Many shrimp were found among leaf litter and marginal vegetation, and the water flowed at a moderate speed. It has been found in Heping Town, Qiongzhong County, Hainan Island.
