The Black-capped Flycatcher is a small flycatcher of Central American highlands. Its black cap and white eye-ring stand out, and it is found at open forest edges.
It is dark overall, with a black cap, a teardrop-shaped white eye-ring, and dull brown wingbars.
It forages at mountain forest edges and in brushy clearings, giving a short “pip” call.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
