A small bat recorded in arid and steppe regions of Mongolia and neighboring areas. A Mongolian reserve survey captured a few at natural springs.
The back is pale brown to sandy, the underside gray-white, and the face brown. It has rounded ears and a short, rounded tragus.
It is reported to use rock crevices and buildings as daytime refuges. At Ikh Nart, researchers caught six bats at three natural springs and none at artificial wells or sites without water.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
