This millipede is recorded from West Kilombero Scarp and Udzungwa Scarp Forest Reserves in the Udzungwa Mountains, Tanzania.
In the two alcohol-preserved adult males examined in the 2014 report, each anal valve has a very long, stout, slightly curved dorsal spine and a very long, slender ventral spine.
The two examined males come from separate collection events: one in montane rain forest at Udzungwa Scarp in 1984 and the other in montane forest at West Kilombero Scarp in 2000.
On the dorsal side of the midbody rings in these males, the limbus is almost straight, with only the slightest indication of lobes.
On the walking legs of these males, numerous stiff setae surround and almost hide the claws, and the accessory claw is much longer than the main claw.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
