The Flame-headed Fig Parrot is a small New Guinea parrot with orange, blue, and green markings around the head and face. It favors figs.
The forehead is vivid orange, fading toward the back of the crown. The area around the eyes is turquoise to violet-blue, the cheeks are green, and a narrow blue band crosses the back of the neck.
It eats fruit, especially figs and seeds. Small groups move through the upper canopy, hopping among branches of fruiting trees.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
