The Golden Dove is a Fijian fruit dove that feeds in the forest canopy. Males are golden while females and young are green; a 1970 field report often noted its bark-like call.
The survey party described golden males and saw green females and immature birds more often.
It feeds on fruit in forest canopy and more open lowland bush. During the 1970 survey on Viti Levu, observers often heard its accelerating, bark-like call.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
