Known from Indonesia, this sponge has been recorded partly covered by another sponge.
The examined North Sulawesi specimens formed irregular masses.
Specimens collected in North Sulawesi in June 2004 were partly covered by another sponge.
Parts not covered by the other sponge were lemon-yellow or dark green.
Broad areas of water outlets were often conspicuous in examined specimens.
