Caracciolo's stripe-faced bat is a fruit-eating bat marked with white lines on its face and back. In Bolivia, it feeds mainly on figs and roosts high in the canopy.
It has one line above the eye and another from near the mouth corner to the ear base. A white mid-dorsal stripe runs from the head toward the membrane between the hind legs; the back is reddish brown, with paler gray-brown fur on the head and shoulders.
It is nocturnal and frugivorous, feeding mainly on figs. Bolivian observations describe visits to several fruiting trees per night and roosts high in palm canopies, sometimes in groups of two to five.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
