A hornbill with a black body and white tail, living in forests of the Sulu Archipelago in the southern Philippines.
It has a black body and white tail, with differences between the sexes in the casque above the bill and eye color.
It nests in a cavity in a large forest tree and feeds mainly on fruit; insects and small vertebrates are also reported in its diet.
